Apple just revealed new iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watches. Tim Cook indicated the event will focus on iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch.

Here’s what it announced:

1. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus
2. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
3. Satellite emergency service for iPhones
4. Apple Watch Ultra
5. New AirPods Pro
6. Apple Watch Series 8
7. The new Apple Watch SE

Apple didn't raise prices on the new iPhones as some analysts expected. New Apple Watches go on sale Wednesday, while AirPods Pro ship on September 23. Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, just revealed the iPhone 14 pro.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro is smaller. iPhone 14 Max is the larger model. The iPhone 14 Pro costs $999 and the larger model $1099. Same as last year's models. Preorders start Friday and ship next week.
 

These devices sport a revised front design with a reduced camera cutout, expanding the screen. Apple calls the cutout a "dynamic island" that may display notifications or baseball scores.

New iPhone 14 Pro features include:

• A display that never turns off.
• Apple included a low-power mode to extend battery life.
• It employs Apple's 4-nanometer A16 Bionic chip.
• Larger sensor for 48-megapixel camera.
• Low-light photography improvement.
• Flash redesign.

It's black, silver, gold, and purple. iPhone 14 features satellite emergency service.

Apple established a cooperation with Globalstar on Wednesday to connect its iPhone 14 series to emergency satellites. The capability connects an iPhone 14's antennae to a satellite to relay messages in cell tower-less areas.
 

Apple's manager of satellite modeling and simulation, Ashley Williams, claimed a phone algorithm compresses text messages so they "take less than 15 seconds to send" to a satellite, a ground station, and an emergency service provider.

The emergency satellite service is free for two years with an iPhone 14. Globalstar would "allocate 85% of its current and future network capacity" to serve the iPhone 14 emergency satellite service, according to a filing.
 

Satellite communications, which includes numerous networks that support specialist phones, is seeing increased investment. SpaceX and AST SpaceMobile have partnered with mobile service providers to bring satellite services straight to consumer handsets. Tim Cook unveiled the iPhone 14. Apple has unveiled a 14 Plus and a 14 so far.

The iPhone 14 Plus replaces the "iPhone 13 mini" with a 6.7-inch variant. The iPhone 14 costs $799 and the Plus $899. Preorders begin Sept. 9 and sales begin Sept. 16. Plus won't ship until October.

All U.S. iPhone 14 models will no longer use physical SIM cards, instead using a digital eSIM that supports multiple phone numbers and is more secure

Apple releases $249 AirPods Pro

Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed the new noise-canceling AirPods Pro at the price of $249 and will be shipped on Sept. 23.

Apple's H2 chip, an update from the H1 chip in the prior model, improves sound quality and clarity.

Includes:

• Touch-screen volume control
• 6-hour battery life
• Extra-small eartip
• A speaker elaborated
• MagSafe-compatible.
• Apple's new models have twice as strong noise cancelling.
   

Apple Watch Ultra starts at $799

Apple revealed a new high-end watch with a redesigned design, bigger screen, and titanium case. Outdoor athletes are targeted.

It'll cost $799 and be available Sept. 23. Preorders start Wed.

New watch face includes compass. It has an orange "action" button for usage while exercising or wearing gloves. It can also display a swimmer's depth. Apple launched the iPhone 14 today.

Apple COO Jeff Williams claimed in a promo film that every detail was engineered to make the most robust Apple Watch ever. Apple revealed a new Apple Watch SE, a cheaper version of Series 8.

This year's model:

• A bigger screen
• A new plastic design on the underside of the watch
• Heart rate notifications
• Fall detection

Starting Sept. 16, it will cost $249 or $299. Apple markets it to kids who don't require an iPhone. Apple Watch Series 8 announces temperature sensor

Tim Cook started the video-focused event with Apple Watch news. Apple COO Jeff Williams termed the new smartphone Series 8. It's more durable than earlier generations and contains a new temperature sensor to track ovulation.
 

Black, gold, aluminum, and red are the aluminum colors; stainless steel has three. $399 for an aluminum model, $499 for cellular.Apple said the gadget will only share health data with the user's approval.
